You’ll stay in comfortable, well-appointed properties that reflect local character and high service standards. Accommodations are generally in the 3 to 4-star range. We select each stay for its cleanliness, service, location, and comfort, ensuring that every night is restful—ideal recovery for another day of riding and cultural experiences.
-
Japan’s climate can be unpredictable, but the tour has plenty of flexibility. We can seamlessly switch from cycling to a rich program of cultural activities—including gallery and museum visits, local markets, tea houses, or guided walks. This ensures that even on rainy or windy days, your experience remains rewarding and immersive.
-
The tour uses a carefully selected mix of bikes sourced through trusted local providers in each region, all of which have been pre-tested.
For the shorter city rides (around 10 km), we use comfortable, upright e-bikes similar to shared city bikes—perfect for frequent stops and cultural interpretation.
For the longer day rides, we use high-quality electric and non-electric road touring bikes, including models from reputable outlets. This blend ensures you always have the right bike for the terrain and pace of the day.
-
Vegetarian guests are welcome and will be catered for throughout the tour. However, please note that seafood is central to Japanese cuisine, and in some locations vegetarian options may be more limited. We will do our best to provide variety, but flexibility is appreciated when it comes to traditional dining experiences.
-
Laundry access is limited and depends on the schedule. It is generally more convenient in locations where we have two-night stays, when there’s enough downtime to make use of facilities. We recommend packing with this in mind and bringing quick-dry clothing to make washing on the go easier if needed.
